Welcome to the Western New Mexico University (WNMU) School of Nursing and Kinesiology (SONAK). We are extremely proud of our students and view each one as the reason for SONAK’s existence. Our faculty and staff colleagues work together to facilitate student success now and in future careers as vital members of an ever-evolving professional healthcare team. We share a wealth of experience in modern teaching-learning strategies such as student-engaged learning, innovative simulation scenarios, integration of the Holistic Student Success Model into curricula, ongoing development and teaching of fitness classes.
